Occupant comfort and energy savings were primary goals when Grant 170 LLC decided to invest in a 35,000 square foot new apartment complex located on an abandoned lot in a re-gentrifying neighborhood in Jersey City, NJ. Key to accomplishing those goals was choosing a wall assembly with an air and water resistive barrier that would help reduce energy demands, minimize HVAC size requirements and improve indoor air quality.
The project's general contractor chose Barrithane VP, a newly marketed STPE membrane which is a high-solids, low VOC product.
